Our Whispering Hills neighborhood had a total of 132 police reported incidents for 2009 according to City of Dallas records which can be accessed from this website. These appear to include some multiple calls to the same offense as well as calls for runaways and found property. However, even when taking those into account, we have experienced far too many thefts, break-ins, and robberies. And this does not take into account unreported thefts of which I know of two, the three set fires a couple of months back, and the 911 call-ins for gunfire around the RR tracks (see topic elsewhere).
Also for 2010 we already have 7 reported criminal events. They are a burglary at Lawler, auto theft and other theft at Deer Run, theft and robbery of a person at Jasoncrest, burglary of guns at Rita (see topic elsewhere) and vandalism at Panther Ridge.
